Privacy Policy
How Foundry & Grit, LLC handles personal information on this website.
Effective August 9, 2026
The short version
This is a brochure site for a holding company. It has no accounts, no forms, no shopping cart, and no comment section. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts. If you never email us, we hold nothing about you beyond the ordinary server logs described below, which we do not use to build any profile of you.
We do not sell personal information, we do not rent it, and we do not share it for advertising.
Scope — and what this page does not cover
This policy covers this website only. The companies Foundry & Grit holds are separate products with their own users, their own data, and their own policies. If you are a customer or user of one of them, that product’s privacy policy governs your information, not this one. Read it there.
What we hold
Server logs
Our hosting provider records a standard web log entry for each request: the IP address, the page requested, the time, the referring page if your browser sent one, and your browser and device type. This is automatic, it is how every web server on the internet works, and it is what lets us keep the site up and see whether it is being attacked. We do not use it for marketing and we do not try to identify you from it.
Anything you email us
If you write to us, we hold your message, your address, and whatever you chose to put in it, for as long as we need it to deal with what you raised and to keep a record of the correspondence. Please do not send sensitive personal information by email — it is not a secure channel.
What we do not do
- No cookies. This site sets none.
- No analytics. There is no Google Analytics, no pixel, no heat-mapping, and no session recording.
- No advertising or third-party trackers.
- No third-party font or script requests. The typefaces are compiled into the site at build time and served from our own domain, so loading a page does not tell anyone else that you visited.
Who else processes it
Only our host. Naming them is deliberate — you can verify them independently, and a policy that says “trusted partners” says nothing.
- Vercel — website hosting and server logs.
Links out
This site links to the companies we hold and may link to other outside sites. Once you follow a link you are on somebody else’s site, under their policy, and we have no control over what they collect.
How long we keep it
Server logs are kept for the short retention period our host applies and are then discarded. Email correspondence is kept while it is useful and while any legal or tax record-keeping obligation requires it.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. It is static, which removes most of the ways a website is normally attacked: there is no database behind it, no login, and no user-supplied input to exploit.
Your choices
Because we hold so little, most requests are simple. Write to us and we will tell you what we have that relates to you, correct it, or delete it. Depending on where you live you may have a legal right to ask for those things; we will honour such a request whether or not the law where you are requires it of us.
Children
This site is aimed at businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will update the effective date at the top of this page. The version published here is the current one.
